His musical life has been patterned after the history of American music, Beginning with Scotch-Irish folk music and then Appalachian and Old-Timey bands ("Roustabout String Band"), there was a short stint with blues trio "Suitcase". There followed a foray (charge!) into Rockabilly ("Top Down"), followed by a frenzy into punk/Americana ("Sciota Mills"). The Folk Bros. celebrates and encourages the crazy genre -hopping influences that drive this madman.

He went through a few phases that required learning new instruments, and now claims that all stringed instruments are pretty much the same. He has performed extensively throughout the Midwest and in New York City. He enjoys competing in triathlons when music gives him time off.
